The rich history of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce now spans more than a half-century as one of New Jersey's premier business organizations. In that 50 years, our Chamber has grown into a bountiful group of business experts and caring professionals. It is a true business mosaic; where many unique piees come together to form an enthusiastic platform to meet the ever- expanding needs of our members.

Formed at the epicenter of American industrialism, The Tri-County Chamber has seen, supported and passionately endorsed each economic era ever since. Today, we are a dynamic, vibrant group with both relevant business memories and extraordinary visioning skills. We know business.

Our legacy stretches through periods of tremendous economic transitions and cultural shifts. As witnesses to both the robust and the challenging cycles of business, we pride ourselves on our ability to neatly navigate and quickly adapt. As we embrace each age, we also prepare for the next. As stated by our distinguished Board of Directors, the mission of The Tri-County Chamber of Commerce is to serve its members by cultivating a favorable environment in which Business, Government, Education and the Community at Large can interact. For the benefit of all.

Like other organizations, we are tasked with many responsibilities. However, we never lose sight of the fact that we are here, first, to serve our members. By doing so, we create more than just potential financial rewards for them. We produce an engaging network where every business, every member - regardless of their size, their service or their years - has real opportunities with other "best-in-class" individuals and organizations. No one prospers unless we all prosper.

As an organization, our breadth is far greater than the sum of our parts. We are a network of individuals. Our "product" does not come off a shelf. What we offer is far-reaching support and trust-based relationships. As such, our values are people-driven and unbending. We take our values personally.

All of our bridges - to the world of business, to local government and to the greater communities we serve - are held by the twin cables of integrity and ethics. As a place where leaders often emerge, we demonstrate the enduring strength of equality, honesty, respect, financial responsibility, volunteerism and friendship. We strive to do things right but we never fail to do the right thing.

According to 2000 figures from CACI, the communities that make up the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce service area boast nearly 5 billion dollars a year in retail buying power. Also, 40% of the households in this market average an income greater than $75,000.
