 Our Committees
Business Events
This group meets monthly to assist the chamber in creating chamber programs and events. The committee brainstorms to determine member needs and interests. They develop educational seminars, special networking events, and chamber breakfasts and lunches. They poll the membership from time to time to be sure that events are relevant and useful. They serve as the program managers for the chamber.

Ambassadors Club
Each month, a select group of active chamber members meets for breakfast at the King George Diner. After a great breakfast and an opportunity to catch up with one another, each ambassador receives a member profile of several new members. During the month, they call, email, or perhaps even visit the new members in an effort to explain the benefits of membership and to help make the new members feel welcome. They are always available to assist new members in any way they can and to help newcomers make the most of chamber resources

Antique/Classic Car Show
Now into its 14th year, this fund-raising event is by far the Chamber's largest outreach into the community-at-large. This annual one-day event takes place the last Sunday of September, is hosted by Maquet Cardiovascular and is sponsored by Enterprise Car Sales and the Wayne Today newspaper. This event has established a reputation as one of our area's largest and finest car shows. Attracting hundreds of antique/classic automobiles and thousands of spectators, this event is a fun-filled day for all those involved.

Department of Transportation
Transportation issues are critical for business owners of today; a business can only succeed if it has a safe and efficient transportation system in which to operate. The Transportation Department of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce endeavors to provide information on traffic and transportation issues to our members in a timely manner. The department also brings the transportation concerns of our members to the attention of the appropriate governing bodies and agencies.

Department of Governmental Affairs
The Joint Governmental Affairs Committee is the only standing committee of the three chamber members of the North Jersey Chamber Consortium (Tri-County, Greater Paterson and North Jersey Regional). Meeting weekly during the Fall, Winter and Spring, usually for lunch at the Bel Vedere in Clifton, the Committee monitors local, state (emphasized) and federal legislation and governmental actions and endeavors to influence them as advocates of the business community. All chamber members are welcome and can participate with vote. Each meeting features a guest speaker: a State Senator or Assemblyman/woman, a mayor or city official, a Freeholder, party leaders, major candidates for public office (including this year 5 of the 7 Republican Gubernatorial candidates), and other experts or officials. Guests are selected to speak about matters of interest/concern to the business community. While the committee and chambers do not support or endorse specific candidates, they do adopt position papers on legislation and other issues. The papers are approved by the committee and forwarded to the respective Chamber boards for confirmation and adoption. When all three Chambers have adopted the positions they are distributed to the appropriate elected officials. The Committee communicates with other State business organizations and coordinates actions on key issues. The Committee acts as the voice and center of Passaic County business community to influence government on behalf of this constituency.

Department of Communications
This department functions as the Marketing/Communications arm of the organization. We look to promote and publicize the Chamber as a whole as well as look to assist other departments and subcommittees in the promotion of their particular events. By making use of various advertising, web and public relations tools, the Department of Communications strives to position the Chamber as a dynamic and influential entity in the communities it serves.

Department of Membership
The Membership Committee keeps our Chamber strong and growing! This Committee is responsible for the retention of our existing membership roster, while at the same time, seeking out new candidates capable of becoming future Chamber members. It also establishes the standards for membership qualifications and serves as the “eyes and ears” of the Chamber to ensure that our services remain appealing to our full membership. Other duties include welcoming new members, eliciting feedback from non-returning members and working as a liaison between the Chamber and its members.

Golf Outing Committee
The golf committee is in charge of running our annual golf tournament held the last Thursday in April at the Knoll Golf Club in Boonton, N.J. Generally the committee which is comprised of co- chairman Stan Hladik and Tim Werkley as well as 6-10 members begins work in early January. The main drivers are our sponsors; generally an event sponsor as well as sponsors of the various functions including registration, lunch, dinner and beverage carts. Over the last 36 years we have attracted many members and their guests to a nominally priced event which is usually one of the earlier golf outings of the year. Each participant receives a door prize, a goodie bag and numerous skill prize opportunities. The winner of the Chamber Trophy is the lowest net golfer whose name is permanently engraved in the trophy. If you are interested in being on the committee or participating in a future tournament contact the Chamber office for additional information.

Fall Fundraiser Committee
Members of this committee plan a charity fundraiser that takes place in the fall, with the proceeds going to a community charity. Last year's fundraiser was a Texas Hold 'Em Night.
